A Small Update, A Big Step

A Small Update, A Big Step

The last few weeks have been a mix of progress, persistence, and the occasional deep sigh at my laptop.

After a fair bit of tinkering (and one or two moments of “why is this harder than it should be?”),  my website is finally live. Seeing emmaforresterbooks.com sitting there, quietly doing its job, feels like a small but meaningful milestone. It’s a home for my work now, somewhere solid, rather than a collection of half-finished tabs and notes.

At the same time, I’ve been deep in the practical side of publishing Queen’s Road. The Amazon setup is underway, which has involved formatting, checking, rechecking, and learning far more about margins and metadata than I ever expected to know. It’s not the most glamorous part of writing, but it’s a necessary one, and each step brings the book closer to readers.

I’m also happy to say that the Kindle edition is moving towards preorder. That feels quietly surreal. This story, which lived in my head and notebooks for so long, is finally making its way into the world in a real, tangible form.

Behind the scenes, the characters haven’t gone quiet either. While setting all this up, I’ve found myself slipping back into conversations with them, sketching out what comes next. Yes, I’ve started working on Book Two. Gently. Slowly. But with intent.

Thank you for being here, for reading along, and for caring about these stories. More updates soon, hopefully with fewer technical hiccups and a little more firelight.

Warmly,
Emma
